Speedplay X2 vs new Shimano pedals

I'm in the market for new pedals and would appreciate any feedback on these two systems.

I used to use a Look pedal, which is what the Shimano pedal is based on.
I don't plan on going back any time soon.
Besides being heavier, they are also harder to clip into (which can be decisive in a short, technical crit)

You can find the specs for the pedals and cleats at www.speedplay.com.
Click on the pedal system you want and then click on specs. I just bought a pair of the Zero Stainless. I've spent ten years on Time, and consider these a great improvement. Call Speedplay if you have any questions. I found them to be very helpful when I was shopping.

I cannot speak comparatively because I have Speedplays, love them, and have not been tempted to try anything else.

My knees feel much better with the wide, free float that Speedplay pedals offer. I have used Time pedals in the past but they don't float as much nor is it free. Once I switched to Speedplay I have stayed with them.

The float is not for everyone, but it is for me.
