"These Legs are Gone!" - Liggettism of the day!

Upon seeing Heras going backwards...poor guy, sacrificed himself in vain.

I'm still trying to work out where all the holes are from this "digging deep" that he talks about all the time.

The "suitcase of courage" has no bottom.

How did that happen? It's not like they were on a mountain top finish or anything?

I don't race, but a few weeks ago, on my way home from the first century,
I really lost altitude. I probably hadn't eaten enough, or slept enough the night before but on the way home I began to wonder if I was going to make it. It had been very windy as well and I was FRIED. The last 15k I probably felt something like Heras did only not uphill. Fortunately, I made it home.

year on a club training ride. We went into a climb and I decided to keep pulling. Shortly thereafter my legs just quit. Could barely turn the cranks.
    When you GO it's incredible.

    Not Armstrong's first first.
You could have said the same thing in 1996-7.

What a sight, the poor guy was obviously suffering, like poor Jens Voigt the other day.

The point is you argued with me yesterday saying that today's stage was "not a mountaintop finish". You are giving people crap as if you know what the hell you are talking about. You are like Bob Roll's boss trying to tell him how to pronounce "Tour de France".

"I know, I have watched this race since 1978. It's tooer do frawns"

I've followed each tour since 1978 and that's not the likely scenario here. If he wins in these conditions, it will be a first.
