help with new brakes? - 2009/06/07 04:01 just installed a set of juicy 5 brakes on my wifes bike and the stopping power is dissapointing, only locks up the rear wheel while riding when you pull the lever all the way to the handlebars. when you squeez the brake the lever is slow to return. i have bled the brakes 3 times with the same result. the only thing i can think of is that the fluid i used is not compatible even though it is dot 5.1 or the aftermaket hoses arent (jagwire) even though the package says they are to avid specs. can anyone offer any suggestions as what else i should try?
