Coaster Brake Problem - 2009/12/13 14:04 I've just built a 700C wheel for a commuting bike, with a Ventura single speed coaster brake hub. The sprocket is held on the hub by a circlip / snap ring, which pops off every time I stand up to tackle a hill, leaving me standing on air. The chainline is straight, the hub is assembled and fitted correctly (I've checked against pictures on several web sites) and I have even tried replacing the circlip with the Sturmey Archer one, which is stiffer. The bike shop says that they have sold hundreds with no problems. Any suggestions?
