My locality requires something in the way of a headlight at night. An incandescent bicycle system uses so many batteries it is cheaper to drive a
Ford Explorer.

Is it possible to adapt those motor vehicle diode signal lights to a bicycle head light? Maybe eight batteries would last several hundred miles . . .

Those cheap three red diode flashing lights seem to last forever on 2 AA batteries.

Man I get a 10w halogen light for the bike and what do you get a trickle charger. some were 9 hours some 14 hours. come on now even cheep cordless drills come with far better chargers. if I remember right 400ma is pretty slow but the instructions say if you charge it over 14 hours it will damage the battery after several times? I doubt it. well if it is not fully discharged 14 hours would be too l
