re:Tour gearing 11-28 to 12-34?

I have a Raleigh 300 with Sora rear derailleur and 8 speed Shimano cassette 11-28. Can I go to a 11-34 or 12-34 with the Sora with-out problems or should I get a different rear derailler and what do you recommend. Thanks for any help.
