re:How to make my cheap bike faster...cheaply In category Tech issues Written by Sarcastic Apostle I have a Trek 1000 (2001) all stock. Yes it is LOWWWW end everything, but it has served it's purpose thus far. I race recreationaly in non-drafting races, sprint triathlons mostly. I want to make my bike faster, but not spend more than I spent on the actual bike. I have Bontrager Race X-Lite Aero rims. Do I just center the magnet and screw it on? On the old bike it was placed just above the crossing of the two round spokes. What is everybody else with bladed spokes using?

Mavic Open Pro "SUP" "CD" "Maxtral" one of these means black anodized 32 holes. Lacing is 2 cross front 3 cross rear. Drive side nipples are brass. Used The Book, and on the front wheel I got very high tension, to the point that the nipples are difficult to turn. After stress reliving per book
odd rim profiles In category Tech issues Written by Cucuhlain What's the rationale/aerodynamics behind some of the odd rim profiles available? Specifically, the cutaway between the spoke holes on the Ksyriums and the inverted cross-sectional curve of Alex R390 rims (pic at http://www.nashbar.com/profile_moreimages.cfm?category=113&subcategory=1128& sku=1128&brand= ). 0 Products tagged with "aero rims" |
