I have a question about track Disk Wheels...or any track wheels really..can one use a quick release on the track or must in be bolt and nut type of axel ? are they hard to change ?

I'm getting a new cyclocross bike that I will also use occasionally as a winter trainer.

I'm going to want to mount SKS fenders on this bike, and it just occurred to me that I won't have a rear brake bridge (or drilled front fork crown).

I can have eyelets put on the dropouts...what else do I need to do to mount the fenders? I'd prefer not to create a ziptie monster!

2003 Ti Litespeed. I was tightening the allen bolt with no bottle cage fitted and the boss started to turn with the bolt. I now have an allen bolt sticking out about 4mm from the seat tube which turns with the boss (I hope this is the right word).

Any suggestions on how I can overcome this problem?

First bike, had it for a while and I got my first flat today. I have a pair of Bontrager tires both front and back and after going over the tire in the garage I caught a fairly obvious piece of glass embedded into the tire.

My Paramount TI (Serotta Concours)came without a badge. I recently found an old Schwinn Paramount head badge and I as wondering if it would be safe/possible to drill the head tube for the screws.

I know, I know, there is such a thing as double-sided tape out there.
But, to suit my vanity and to insure it stays with the bike, I would like to attach it with screws.

I did something really bad. I have to remove the stem from my bike, an old type one (3TTT motus, http://tinyurl.com/ri3d) that seems to be in its place since many years (I just received that bike). I noticed that the nut was hard, so I sprayed some penetrating oil. After a while I tried again, the nut stayed at its place until it suddenly opened... or, better, I thought it opened. In fact I rounde
