Everytime I change chain & cassette, I have a terrible job to get gear selection adjusted successfully on all 9 cogs. I'm using the official

re:Front STI shifter/derailleur adjustment

I just took my Giant TCR1 Composite in for it's first tuneup. Due to cable stretch, the front derailleur was having some difficulty shifting from the
39 chainring to the 53 chainring. I got the bike back and now the indexing of the front STI is spread to the point where it takes at least 2-3 sweeps of the STI shifter to make the shift.

re:shimano acera, cursed!

I have a friend with shimano acera driveline, the rear derauler doesnt want to adjust, I have no cable slack, and what wrong is that I can get 1st thru 4th and they work ok, then 5th thru 7th dont work, what i mean is i have 1,2,3,4 gear but 5th skips a bit and it goes right past
6th into 7th.

I can get it to work so i have 4,5,6,7 but i dont have 1,2,3 workin right

I've got a carbon composite fork with a threaded steel steerer that I want to use with a new frame. Anybody have opinions about using it with a threadless headset and stem - just clamping the stem onto the threaded steerer?

re:setup of cantilever brakes e/w link wire

I'm trying to set up a cantilever brake with link wire.
What are the rules of thumb for setting these up?
Is there some optimum angle between the cables and the arms?

Would I be better off adding a cable saddle and doing without the link wire system?

What are "ABS type Brass Nipples?"

On my friend's Mavic Cosmos rear wheel the spoke nipple stripped and he needs to find replacements. I think the spokes are 14g. I would think that DT 14g brass nipples would work but the LBS boss says they're different. Are the Mavic "ABS type Brass Nipples" the only nipples that can be used on this wheel? Or are their alternatives? Can anyone explain what are "ABS type Brass Nipple?"
