My new frame came with paint covered threads(couple of mothe ago) but I managed to clean all the threads enough to accept all bolts. Just removed my rear derailleur for cleaning and I am having difficulty in reinserting the bolt in the hanger, I do recall it being tight during the initial fitting but the threads wern't stripped. I think the major factor is that the bolt is very tight in the dera

Okay, so I've been given some degree of freedom with respect to my next major bike shopping excursion, and I was thinking of getting a decent set of tools to work on my bike(s).

Any suggestions for "must-have" items?

I have a beloved BMX type old bike that I take to work everyday.

I dropped it the other day and the pedal is bent. I have been trying to get it off. From what I read, the right paddle is right threaded (so it is just like a screw) and the left one is left hand threaded.
