I have an old CroMo that has served me well but now it's time to upgrade. My pocketbook likes the Aluminum bike but I've been told that since I'm a big guy, 6' 215 lbs, that aluminum may not give me a good ride. I have been told to get carbon or titanium. What is you take on this?

I'd like to hear from the experienced riders that put on lots of miles.
Things to consider are.

1. Comfort
2. Weight

I'd like to get some riding, handling, quality impressions on this bike. I've done some searches on this bike and could only come up with questions regarding whether it is really a litespeed, or made in taiwan or mexico etc. I don't really care...I just want to know how this bike rides! What front derailleur would be best with these chainrings and STI shifters?
STI shifters don't work with an XT front derailleur. Does anyone have experience with an Ultegra or Dura-Ace front triple derailleur with this crankset? I would like to keep the precision shifting I have now with the
Ultegra triple crankset.

I was testing riding some bikes built up with Dura-Ace and Chorus yesterday. The Dura-Ace was 9-speed, I think the Chorus was 10-speed.
One thing I did notice on both was some chain rub against the front cage. Is this an inevitable fallout of the move to ever larger number of rear cogs? I think I've heard of "trim clicks" for the front derailler; are these designed to handle this problem? An

I just installed a new Dura-ace double crankset & Ultegra double bottom bracket, along with a new chain & cassette. (both Dura-ace
9-speed)

Even after fine tuning the derailleurs, the new setup has bad friction on the chainrings. The chain feels like it's sticking to the teeth. In fact I can almost feel the little clunk as the chain releases each tooth. After riding about 20 miles, I exam

I have a new Trek FX 7.6 (18 Speed) equipped with a Shimano 105 derailleur system.

The thing has chain rub when in small front sprocket and small two or three gears on rear, and same problem when in large front sprocket and in largest couple gears.
