fixed gear revisited In category Tech issues Written by dsappleb after reading Sheldon's website I'm curious...can I do this: thread a track cog onto my road wheelset and go with that? Am I missing something? I want to turn an old bike into a fixed gear as cheaply as possible...it's got dura ace 9 speed hubs.
re:Another useless gimic? In category Tech issues Written by USEnfield Saw a very expensive frame in my local bicycle shop with large diamond-shaped holes in the chainstays. The carbon fibre tubes split into two, then rejoined, leaving a hole. I think it would require spin of election campaign manager proportions to justify that one.
re:chainline on fixed gear In category Tech issues Written by puffanug I am building a fixed gear bike and I am wondering a little bit about the "perfect chainline" that I have been reading about on several web pages.
