just picked up a 3rd hand kinetic trainer. the numbers i'm getting for power seem a bit optimistic (hey - i'm being honest!), when converting mph to power using their (and other) conversion chart.

anyone know of a non-destructive technique to verify that this resistance unit is working correctly.

i'm wondering if the fluid breaks down over time or perhaps a prior owner removed some fluid.
