Anyone ride a Giant Composite ('03) double 53/39T? If so, can you tell me how many links your chain has? I upgraded from 105 52/39 to Ultegra
53/39 and it didn't occur to me that my chain would now be a bit short. Thanks for your help.

I'd like to buy a cheap rear disc-compatible hub (I'm looking at the Shimano
Deore range). Where can I get the best deal? I live in London but am willing to buy from a mail-order shop. Are www.BikeDock.com good?

And finally, how much of a pain is it to build a wheel? I'd rate myself

I'm trying to set up a cantilever brake with link wire.
What are the rules of thumb for setting these up?
Is there some optimum angle between the cables and the arms?

Would I be better off adding a cable saddle and doing without the link wire system?

mant thanks eno yad

cranks (model FC-1050) with a new Sora. I'm using a SRAM PC-89 chain and figured I might have to swap the stainless rings (8 speed) for Aluminum. I stuck a set of 9 speed Dura Ace wheels into the 126 mm rear end.
