re:Lance photo in SI In category Racing Written by rickZ The current issue of Sports Illustrated (former NFL player who got killed in Afghanistan on the cover) has a full-spread photo of Lance taken during the TT stage of the Tour de Georgia. It's an awesome photo. Lance looks as lean and mean as I've ever seen him in any photo.
re:Women's Cycling In category Racing Written by Sartan Cat How many of us followed the Grande Boucle Feminine in August, which looks as if it was at least as interesting as the TDF? Why is women's cycling so poorly covered by the media? Because they don't go as far or as fast as the men? re:Magnesium In category Tech issues Written by CruNcher I read with interest that Ford had invested in a magnesium producing plant to produce lighter bodied passenger cars (supposedly makes it easier to meet new fuel efficiency standards without reducing overall vehicle size - which we all know is a communist plot). re:Crank Brothers platform pedals In category Tech issues Written by bluedad Does anyone have experience with Crank Brothers Mallets or Candys? I would like to know how well they work with flat shoes and how easy they are to clip in and out of compared with other clip/platform pedals. Thanks.
re:Gear Inches In category Tech issues Written by altahoe Does anyone have the formula for calculating gear-inches? Years ago, Bicycling mag would publish a gear-inches chart for each bike they reviewed--a grid with front & rear gearing along the top and side with the gear-inches in the center. I'd like to make a gear-inches chart for my new bike but don't have the formula. My tires are 700c x 23.
re:Tire rolling resistance; source for data? In category Tech issues Written by Duke8899 Does anyone know if there is a reliable source for information about which tires have the highest and lowest rolling resistance on a dry, hard surface? Is there a quantified scale that's recognized for measuring this? I'm assuming, from comments in a couple of threads, that differences exist, but is personal experience the only guide to the subject? 0 Products tagged with "cycling mag" |
