Trying to anticipate everything. Trainer mishap.

Written by shibumi77

I had a one hour ride this morning, inside, on the trainer, looking out my bay window as snow fell on the Connecticut countryside.

I don't like listening to music with the constant drone of the mag resistance unit in the background. For the most part, my thoughts are enough to keep me occupied, but I have one of those reading stands that mount on the handlebars in case I get bored enough.

The track was first(?) set up at the Del Mar race track north of San Diego. I watched some pretty fair riders try to set a lap record, including Vic Copeland, who was then in his early 50's, and Marcelo Arrue. Vic set the record, and
Marcelo broke it, as I recall.

They were almost completely horizontal when they sped through the turns.

Cipollini is once again talking about riding the track. He's saying he'd like to do the IP at the Olympics.

I'm sure in the end this won't happen, but it still makes me wonder why, when he talks about this, he considers the IP rather than the kilo. I think Cipo would be well suited to the kilo, and not so well suited to the IP.
