re:Threaded versus threadless headset In category Tech issues Written by Timo What's the advantage of a threadless headset over an oldfashioned threaded one? Is the threaded one stiffer/lighter? Would it improve my riding in any way going from threaded to threadless?
re:Weird Back Pain ... One bike, not the other In category Tech issues Written by Bluecynic I ride a Norco Java MTB, and a Giant TCR2 Roadie... On the Java, running slicks, I can average around 36 km/h spinning at what I guestimate to be a cadence of around 90 RPM... On the Giant, in a similar gear ratio, I can average about 27 km/h, with a cadence of around 80 RPM, but also get a lower back pain... re:Threadless stems between 110 & 130-deg? In category Tech issues Written by Wildcat_X I'm looking for a threadless mountain-style stem with a rise between 110 and 130 degrees. I know about the custom Salsa stems, but would prefer something much cheaper. I've considered an adjustable stem (Kalloy, Zoom), bu 8 Products tagged with "rise stem"Steel construction, double bolt design for easy bar installation Designed for threadless steerer and will allow for up to 3 1/2" of stem height.
