My wife's Ultegra STI 8 speed levers are trashed. I want to replace them with a Campy Ergo. Is there any Campy Erro set that will work without replacing the calipers and the rear hub?

i want to put ergo/sti levers on my triathlon bike. but cause i´m a student i got a very small budget.
my bike got an 8speed dura ace cassette and a 9speed shimano ultegra rear rd. is it possible to use sachs ergopower to shift?

i know that campa produces the sachs ergos, but i think i heard that the index is for shimano 8speed dr.
i am shure that the 9speed ultegra works with a shimano 8speed i

I finally broke down and bought a pair of Sachs Ergo brifters (8s) and now I have a problem.
I have everything adjusted and aligned agap and the rear shifting is still off. A wee bit too much cable tension and it shifts crisply through the cogs from smallest to mid-way (it's a 8s HG50 13-25 cogset) where it starts to overshift finally jumping 2 cogs to the 25t before the last click.
