cxp21 rims/spoke lengths In category Tech issues Written by reba265 I am having trouble getting spoke lengths for a 650c wheel build because my database doesn't include mavic cxp21's. I am building a wheelset w/ ultegra 32 hole hubs, cxp21 650c rims. i am using radial front, please no lectures, it is a rebuild and i want to keep it same. i am using 3x both sides rear. If anyone can supply me w/ spoke lengths, I would appreciate it. thanx, andy
Measuring spoke length In category Tech issues Written by Jade Rika Dan's question (see Spoke Lengths ... thread) got me wondering . . . how is the length of a spoke actually measured? a) from the tip (threaded end), to the centre of the spoke at the bend, or b) from where the threads start, to the near end of the flange at the bend, or c) from the tip to the crook of the bend (ignoring the flange), or c) something else? I've built lots of wheels, but always
re:Spoke Lengths Question In category Tech issues Written by The Jolly One Trying to build up a new rear wheel using Record 10 speed hub with an AEXRIMS R400. Does anyone know what lengths I should use? The rim specs are here. http://www.alexrims.com/oe/R400.htm Kenny Lee
re:replacing hub- wheel building question In category Tech issues Written by onearmsteve7 I am considering replacing the rear hub on a built wheel. I have seen discussions of replacing the rim, but I wonder if- - Is there a smooth method for transferring spokes without having to do a total strip and rebuild? - Any problems using the same spokes? Do inside spokes need to stay on the inside, etc.? Spoke lengths are the exact same for the two hubs.
re:has anyone tried radial lacing a rear wheel?? In category Tech issues Written by Woolridge i mean on both sides of the rear. i'm just curious what would happen. i'm guessing that the wheel would feel mushy when you stepped on the cranks hard. but maybe not???any experiences?
re:2x NDS, 3xDS lacing help In category Tech issues Written by Wildcat_X despite following the instructions in Jobst Brandt's book, I seem to always end up with pairs of tight and loose spokes. the rim is 28 holes. should I be doing something different, or did I simply mess up the spoke placement in the hub or rim?
re:Cranks and chainring prices - why does it make no sense to b In category Tech issues Written by InStyle76 I was looking at this and wondering why manufacturers have made it so it is cheaper to buy a new crank with three chainrings(albeit not a top end model) versus replacing the chainrings on an old crank ( or even last years crank). It seems like a waste to put the old crank in the used parts bin. 9 Products tagged with "spoke lengths"Rim Model: XR-320 Material: Alloy Side Wall: CNC Machined Tire Width: 23-28c Color: Annodized Black...
